Faithful Farming’s Value: Belief

Should personal faith have an impact on how one runs a business as an entrepreneur? In the Western world, we have a predominant view that relegates faith—regardless of which one—into the private life of the individual.

Faithful Farming’s Value: Belief

The result is that companies develop their own values, which are mostly crafted in strategy meetings but rarely reflect the actual values of the leadership or employees of the company. As a result, these values often remain just words displayed on websites and banners.

At Faithful Farming, we asked ourselves what defines our Christian faith and how it should influence our actions. What would “Christian” behavior look like? First, we see the world as God’s creation, not just as a random sphere floating in the vastness of the universe. This makes it something special to us.

It´s actually quite simple: faith in a business sense means doing the “right” thing. And we actually know exactly what that means for us: not exploiting nature but using it in a way that still allows our children to do the same. At the same time, nature itself is not something “sacred” as suggested by many activists today. Nature wouldn’t be better off without humans; nature needs us too. We are both parts of the same creation.

Thus, faith becomes something very tangible, but it also remains grounded.
